After much contemplation, I've finally decided to keep journaling these taking-photos-habit going on (or probably eating habit as well). As they say, journaling is one of the easiest and most powerful ways to accelerate your personal development.. #cornytalk

First off! I've been living in Jakarta for the past 2 months. Few significant things in life have changed since the last post, obviously, pizza breakfast post was ages ago i know, time flies. Kind of hating myself for not putting more effort to blog a little as time passed by.

Anyway, it was a pleasant sunday afternoon when my aunt and I finally decided to try out this fine Italian restaurant called Casa D'Oro in Kempinski Hotel. We initially wanted to go for a buffet lunch at Signature but it was packed with humans. Reservation would be highly recommended during the weekend. Since we didn't do so and were starving at 2pm, so Casa D'Oro was the next nearest option.

To our surprise, it was pretty unoccupied even on a sunday afternoon, very much contradicting to the situation in Signature although both restaurants are just in walking distance. This place would be more suitable for a romantic couple dinner, but since we were here I guess it would be fine to try out new things. Food wise, no complaints and the creamy mushroom soup has got to be my favorite. I'm not a big fan of Italian cuisine therefore I was taking more of the opportunity to merely snap pictures, honestly speaking. Would most probably come back again, but definitely not so soon.

There goes my first post in 2012! Happy new years by-the-way! if this isn't too late.

I was basically drooooling when I saw this recipe here. Eggs, bacon, and lots of cheese on a pizza..a total scrumptious combination. (ps : anything involving bacon is already plain delicious to me). So quickly decided to give it a try since it didn't seem complicated at all or in fact it was actually really easy to make especially with a store-bought dough, ohh makes everything easier. All you have to do is to add the toppings, bake, and voila!

Ingredients that were being used here : pizza dough, eggs, bacons, grated mozarella, grated parmesan, shallot, parsley, chives, black pepper.

Hello there. Just posting some photos like how I always used to do. Some scenery, foods, and outfit that took over the last weekend. Totally gleeful over the parents' visit because it basically means I'm spoiled to good food and good goods. Woo!

Then here goes another beautiful cafe. Should have taken way more pictures, was a little bit blown away by the impeccable services (like seriously) that I sort of forgotten to use my camera.

Hands down the best cookies I've had in my entire life. Literally the best cookies ever. Slightly exaggerating I know but believe me when I say this. Only at Cookie Museum @ Esplanade. Go and try! There are variety of mouthwatering choices of cookies.

Guess I'm gradually turning into one of those tai-tai who spends most of their time sipping tea under pretty decorated interior. Hoo-hoo cheers to that. Probably gotta blame this particular someone who constantly bringing me around to taste good food and forever calling me 'fat'. Thank you :)

Last but not least let's hope I would get better at blogging although I have failed quite miserably to update most of the time.

Therefore thanks for waiting. I am totally self conscious about haven't been picking up the camera and blogging for the longest time ever! First half pictures were taken from Antoinette. Basically everything about this little chic parisian styled patisserie screams etiquette and if you love cute little macarons, pretty desserts and teas i guess you would love it as much as I do.

And went to this little cafe called Food for Thought for dinner. Love the quiet location and the ambience of the place. Good food, good company!

Gave up mugging halfway after being distracted too much and finally dragged my brother out to get these shots for me because of the lovely sunny weather outdoor. It was all started from that Catarac's song too. Putting the song on repeat the whole day ever since he played it once while I was studying. How annoying, I was so distracted just by listening to the catchy beat.

One week has passed and another three more weeks to go for my exam, maybe I should really take this seriously. Not looking forward for last minute study, pulling an all nighter with red bulls and everything everrr again.

I've been having too much fun that studying wasn't even part of the plan anymore during the one week school break (been having lots of break in between this term. pretty insane) but..I guess going out and playing the whole time was pretty much acceptable when especially mom was here and all the time dragging me out to get her accompanied.

On a brighter note I finally met my brother last weekend after ages for a short while after he landed from a long flights. I missed him quite terribly when he and mom left for home. Totally looking forward for me to get back home in just a couple of days. Yes, couple of days. Why does that feel so long? In the mean time, still living my life as per normal, hitting the books, be grateful, and constantly building the direction and fantasizing how life is going to improve few years from now in my mind. I've already had a supportive and loving family that I couldn't ask for more. Thus hoping it would involve an ultimate independence, being able to do things that I love so i can work and play at the same time, shorter distance relationship with the people that i love most so i wouldn't have to feel that longing feeling all the time, and fat bank account to whatever reasons out there. I don't know where this typing would go but i guess this rants has to stop here? Till then sugars, x

attended the Greyhound presentation during the audi fashion festival.. we were all being invited by Violet otherwise i probably wouldn't be bothered to go because honestly Greyhound didn't sound very familiar (at all, being extremely honest here lol) and I could've watched the live stream from fashforward.com if I wanted to. However, to say the least..the collection was beautiful and there were some pieces that I would really love to get my hands on. In case you don't know like how I didn't know in the first place, Greyhound is a Thailand based clothing line. It was pretty disappointing to know their online store is only available in Thailand though.

went to watch Hurts performed live in Esplanade last week with Christella. It was surreal. Can't believe how lucky we were to actually get a complimentary tickets to watch one of my favorite bands. Things couldn't be better than that. I fell in love with this band back then when they haven't even released an album yet. Caught my eye when i stumbled upon their old version black and white 'wonderful life' music video here. I thought they look and sound amazeballs. Theo Hutchcraft has this classy sense of style that most girls would love, i guess. I'm still obsessed.

Cute little cafe with swings and foods weren't that bad as well. Pretty recommended to try. We had the seafood aglio olio, mussels, cheese fettucini carbonara, king prawn aglio olio, banana dessert and what else I can't remember. Fettucini was probably the best among those we ordered. Aglio olio from Bakerzin still wins I gotta say.

I thought most of the pictures are screwed due to the harsh overexposed lights but so lucky photoshop did its magic.
I know I've been wearing the same pair of wedges forever, although I've got myself a couple new pairs of shoes but none of them could beat how comfortable these are. Plus they go with any outfit you wear in daily basis.

So, I've been spending the last few days of my one week school break trying to enjoy things that this city has got to offer. Singapore is such a routine, not that I wanted to complain, I like it here but I totally agree when people say this place might get slightly boring after a while. Not necessarily excited about any particular things in the moment. Just looking forward to get back to school and attend classes as regular, fast forward to June to seeing all my loved ones, especially my brother and kissing May goodbye. Till then, x

Pictures that were taken recently. Exams are around the corner and i must say that i'm pretty good at organizing my time. Juggling time between studying, tuitions and still being able to take a stroll with some of the bestfriends (saturday evening is an exception i guess) and not to mention, taking pictures and blogging.

On a brighter note, I think I've started to like Singapore more and more now. Although it is a lil bit too late to say this but I see that there's no reason to hate this place (aside the kiasu-ism). Singapore is definitely a good place to live in. I think one day I might claim this place as a second home to me.

Wore this outfit last weekend for a day out with the family here. Those wedges really has got to be the most comfortable high heel I've owned so far. My feet could live and walk with those for 13 hours straight when I have a full day schedule. Still couldn't find any that could replace them yet.

Attended my cousin's wedding last weekend with the family. It was so good to see my parents and other relatives again, pure bliss moment. Sorry for the crappy last two pictures! can't help the low light condition and the lame flower holding pose. so that dress I was wearing had to be my best purchase of the month i swearrr. I especially love the thigh high cut. got it from asos and i was amazed by the price and the quality. Some random stuff on my study desk. That is a vintage C2 Leica I've just bought yesterday. It's my first film camera, and I got it at a really good price (I think), considering that most Leica cameras are very expensive (like this Leica M9, it's currently being sold at usd 8000 (?!), somewhere around that range of price).

It's not that I'm a big fan of films but I've just enrolled into a part time photography class here and we were being taught from the very basic. So I thought it would be nice to get one.

School has started for me around a week ago. I've even got my course schedule for the next 2 years until I graduate. It's only the second week of school and I can already imagine how my life is going to evolve for the next 2 years. Being in the degree level, i must say, is really different from the previous diploma class. I am not whining, nor do I complain here. But it's like a slap in the face to me now, a hard slap. I wouldn't be able to slack as much as I did like before again if I do want good and not just average results. I even have the thought to ditch unnecessary social life starts from today on and just devote most of my time into studying. For those who know me most, you know I am not this type of person. But now reality hits me hard, I only have these 2 years left, and I really want to do it good.

The course that I'm taking now might not be the one that has my best interest at heart, but at least I know I would gain something from here and I definitely don't want to be a sore loser in the end.

There goes the new year's eve activity. Self cooked dinner at vivid's since almost all fine dining restaurants in singapore were fully booked. Seriously, next time we should have done it much much earlier. However, groceries shopping and cooking has never been this fun i swear. 3 hours of preparation but yet there were some dishes that didn't taste that well. haha. a little bit of mahjong before countdown, and a heart shaped candles in the park specially set by us for a friend who was about to (if you get what i mean here)......augh just the sweetest thing everrr. lucky girl :)

oh wow it has been..extremely long since I last posted something here! i miss blogging.

I was having a 3 months school break and I can't believe it's about to come to an end. School is about to start again next week, 3 months just passed by like that. Trip to London, some work experiences in Singapore, back to Medan for a month plus then here I am again, back to Singapore.

After what seems like an eternity, there goes pictures of meeeeeh. Yes I've noticed I haven't posted any photographs of me for suchhhh a longgg time, so i guess it's time. lol

So we went up to haji lane, did some shopping and had a tea time in this cafe called 'a thousand tales' along the road there. It was a nice little place with super nice ambience, super friendly service.. so it's definitely recommended for people who never try it out.

With this being said, I have been thinking that I should blog a little more as time goes by..bringing my camera along whenever I go and at least snap one two pictures that seem interesting to me. whatchu think?

Spent friday afternoon with my two besties, Christella and Vivi walking around Vivi's housing area. It could have been better if we bring the dog out for a walk because there's this dog in her house, and its a golden retriever! but we forgot to do so, maybe some other time.

It has been quite a while I didn't get to spend time with them so there was so much to talk about the other day. How I wish I could have just lived under one roof with either one of them.

so finally meeting queen after ages haven't done so. caught jennifer's body and yes it was scary and not even funny duhh. -.- then vincent's flight was cancelled that day so he came and joined us then we just headed for some drinks at clarke.

some of the photos were taken using vincent's new L lens, 24-70? hope you can see the difference with the one taken using my 50mm. (but i bet there's no difference, i even think that mine is much better :p )

photo taking with Winona, Vincent, and Desmond was the highlight of the day yesterday.

it was soo unplanned, did it so sudden but oh well the results weren't as bad as well..

credit to Vincent since he was the one who did most of all the phototaking and the editing stuff :)

love weekend so much, it has always been a great one so far.

everything's great, not to mention that my parents are going to visit me next week :) then i'm going back home on the 26th which just makes everything purrrfeeccttttt

but things are going to be intense once i come back here again, exams will be just around the corner..and -.- alright i just hope december will come later.. since i love things the way they are now.

today marks the first day of another new term in my school. realized that i should be more organized i finally get myself a new note book that... actually doesn't really look like this. haha

but i would love to get one new moleskine's notebook pretty soon.

i love the sense of stuff that is very organized, neat, and clean. just the thought of having an organized study plan, or neat notebooks somehow always keeps me motivated to study. weird eh?

& anyways i have decided to keep my blog this way. as in i mean like, i dont really bother to update about my life's happenings in detail like how i used to do anymore. some stuffs are meant to be private and not to be exposed. maybe if there's one or two interesting pictures to show, i would always love to show it here :)

1. Bought nylon magazine august 09 edition this morning when i went to holland to drop winona's stuff. since i live in singapore only for a few months, i seriously dont know where to go to buy this magazine. i even thought they dont have it here. lol. thanks to winona for telling!

2. Meeting up with my dear friend Angelin, and her sis and Christian after school. Angelin is going to be here for a week and then depart to australia for her further studies.. :( I'M GOING TO MISS HER SO BAD

3. And meet my new baby. see what i've purchased at Aldo this afternoon

funny i didn't feel guilty after spending that much. TEHE. next buy: more heels.

4. Canele Patissiere's cakes :) really made my day.

5. Hitting the gym after 3 weeks of not doing so, hip hop moves today were seriously awesome.

6. I FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY FOUND A STORE HERE IN SINGAPORE THAT SELLS ALEXANDER WANG'S CLOTHES. omfg omfg omfg. i.. never... know! apparently there's only one hidden prestigious shop that carries his labels in singapore. i'm so glad that i've found it. since i know now i can save up some money to at least get the T :) to think about it, i've been obsessed with Alexander Wang's clothing since like... i made this post in my old blog.
